Historic Hampton House 1908 Hosts Opening Celebration

The Opening Celebration at Historic Hampton House 1908 held in conjunction with the

joint Business After Hours event between the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce and

Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce was one for the history books!

Representatives from both Chambers came together to network, mingle, and socialize. The Clemson Area Chamber president Bryan Lee, Greater Pickens Chamber Executive Director Bryan Owens, and Pickens’ mayor Isaiah Scipio also joined the evening activities that included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, estate tours, and more.

It was a full evening of fun in and around the grounds of Historic Hampton House 1908. The parking space in front of the property was a perfect first stop for food and drink trucks lined up for guests to enjoy everything from mac and cheese from Mac Attack and BBQ from Porkette to lemonade from Boujee Beverage and craft beer from a vintage Chevrolet beer truck from Traveling Taps

The Hampton House was buzzing with tours providing insider information from owner Beth Velner about the house’s history and stories of the incredible renovation. In the Carriage House, a renovated indoor/outdoor reception space, vendors such as Aeimee Sweet Treats, the three-sister bakery, and Roseberry Greenville offered delicious (and adorable!) sweets and baked goods. Dusty Rose Coffee Roasters was also on hand to offer coffee beans, with proceeds supporting abused horses.

Through the manicured estate grounds, a twinkling-lit path led guests to the largest event space on the property, The Pavillion, a large white and gold 40’ x 60’ tent nestled amongst the trees where games and line dancing from local legend Shay Wood closed out the evening.
