It Takes A Village

My experience as a chamber intern

When I first stepped into the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce, I was unsure what awaited me. I soon discovered that Clemson and its neighboring towns shine not only because of their renowned university, thrilling sports, or sunny skies. Their true magic comes from the warmth and generosity of the Chamber of Commerce.

The Clemson Chamber of Commerce is made up of remarkable people who pour their hearts into the town’s success and the well-being of its businesses and residents. Working alongside Bryan, Lacey, and Ann, I learned the art of collaboration—finding creative ways to spark community spirit, raise funds for good causes, and invite everyone to join in the fun. I am especially proud to have helped bring to life the Clemson Golf Tournament, the Six Mile Halloween and Christmas Parade, and the Clemson Farmers Market. The joy these events spark in the community isunmistakable. The Chamber team’s dedication and attention to detail make every event memorable, and I am truly thankful for all I have learned from them.

My time at the Chamber brought its share of challenges, but the rewards far outweighed them. Being part of the local community opened my eyes to the dedication and teamwork needed to help a town thrive. I saw firsthand how vital it is for every voice to be heard and every community member to feel supported. The success of these towns owes so much to the tireless work of their Chambers.

Looking ahead, I will always remember my time at the Clemson Chamber of Commerce with gratitude and warmth. I will be taking what I have learned back to my hometown to help my community thrive. The most important thing that I learned from this experience is that Clemson is truly fortunate to have such a devoted and caring group of people championing its future.
